About Us
Louise has been involved in some sort of needle craft since she was a child. Her mother, grandmother and aunts are all masters of crochet, knitting, quilting, smocking and needlepoint. Louise majored in Apparel Merchandising at Indiana University with an additional associate degree in Costume Construction Technology and a minor in Marketing. She trained under master German tailor Karla Kunoff and interned with designer Vivian Gray of Atlanta.
TruLu Couture has been an evolution of thought and design over the last decade or so. Refusing to be a part of the nameless, thankless and penniless masses of fashion designers, louise followed a completely different path of creativity that has finally led her to this particular doorstep. As with all things Louise does, this too will evolve. Come along for the ride, won't you?

The Eleanor
An ankle length veil measuring 71" long. This veil has medium gathering at the 4-1/2" wide comb. The Alencon lace is hand cut and applied to matte illusion. This veil would look lovely with any color gown, except forDiamond White.

The Emily
This fascinator is hand-sewn with touches of matte tulle and Coque feathers. The center medallion is embossed in matte gold with a white-washed finish.
The Gidget
This birdcage veil is matte ivory tulle with hand-sewn seed pearls along the edge. The retro bow and veil are attached to a 2" Metal comb. The veil can also be worn as a regular, short and sassy veil.
The Candy
This ring pillow is made of soft cotton batiste and offers the hues of a light pink cotton candy with ivory as the primary color. Corners are accented with seed pearls and the center is composed of one large pearl, several accent pearls and satin ribbon.
